In homage to the city I call home on its patron saint's day
Maybe it's the circles I run in. Maybe it's the circles all of us English-language bloggers run in. Certainly it's my workplace firewall. But I never come across real flogs. As in foto-blogs. And it's strange, because they're huge here in Brazil (one comment I saw said that serious photobloggers are far outnumbered by young Brazilians with digicams posting snaps of their parties, their amigos, or their navels (and other miscellaneous body parts).
Anyway, the fotoblog phenomenon got a pretty serious namecheck in yesterday's weekly O Globo section on TI (that's "IT" to you monolingual anglophones). And it pointed out a whole group of people who are out there expanding Brazilian blogspace 50-100kB at a time - serious Rio photo-bloggers.
I'm shamelessly reproducing the long list of URLs that O Globo posted yesterday, without recourse to my own sense of taste in matters photographic (my own photo, above). If anything, this is a great way to get a look at "Muito além do Pão de Açúcar e do Corcovado". Curtam!

That's an incredible photo. Em pleno verão on Ipanema, I love it how you can get up, watch the sunrise over the ocean (off Aporador) go about your day, and then have a chopp as the sun sets over the ocean...
